What Would Jesus Say (“the App,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Mobass LLC, United States. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
The App does not require an account, email address, or name to use its core features.
- Anonymous device identifier: When you first open the App, we generate a random anonymous identifier stored on your device. It is not linked to your real-world identity and is used to save your letters, deliver your daily letter, and manage your subscription status.
- Content you provide:When you write to the App (“what’s on your heart”), the text you submit is collected to generate your letter. You may also optionally provide a first name and a “season of life” selection to personalize your letters. We do not ask for and request that you do not include sensitive personal details, full names of others, or identifying information.
- Letters and history: The letters generated for you are stored so you can view them in your journal and so the App can avoid repeating content.
- Subscription information: If you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details; those are handled by Apple.
- Usage events: We collect basic, anonymous usage events (for example, that a letter was received or that the App was opened) to understand how the App is used and improve it. These are tied to the anonymous device identifier, not to your identity.
How We Use Third-Party AI
To generate your letters, the text you submit is sent to a third-party artificial intelligence provider (Anthropic) that produces the letter content. Your submitted text is processed to create your letter. We do not sell this content. By using the App’s letter features, you consent to your submitted text being processed by this third-party AI provider for the purpose of generating your letter.
How We Use Information
We use the information above only to: generate and deliver your letters, save your journal, deliver daily letters and notifications you enable, manage your subscription, and maintain and improve the App. We do not sell your personal information.
Crisis Content
The App is not a crisis service. If your input indicates a possible crisis, the App will display support resources (such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). These resources are provided for your safety and are not a substitute for emergency services, professional care, or counseling.
Data Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App: our AI provider (to generate letters), our hosting/database provider (to store letters and deliver the service), Apple and RevenueCat (to process and manage subscriptions). We may disclose information if required by law.
Data Retention
We retain your letters and associated anonymous data for as long as the App is used on your device. If you uninstall the App or stop using it, associated data may be retained for a limited period and then deleted. To request deletion of data associated with your device identifier, contact us at try.wwjs@gmail.com.
Children
The App is intended for adults and is rated 12+. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
